Where to drink in Baška

✍️ Ernest Perić, local 📅 19. July 2026.
Caffe Bar Mala Riva u Baški

Baška has a compact but diverse bar scene — from beach lounge bars along Vela plaža, through cafés on the promenade and old town, to wine shops where you can try Krk wines and pubs/pizzerias for late evening. This guide is a subjective selection we supplement with experiences from guests and locals.

Note: The vb_bar catalogue in the portal is being populated. Here are recommendations we regularly visit and for which we hear the best feedback from guests.

Tips for going out

  • Reservation — for a Porto Club sunset table it’s worth arriving earlier or booking in advance. Other bars usually work on a walk-in basis.
  • Payment — cards are generally accepted, but several smaller cafés prefer cash; make sure to have some change.
  • Noise — in the old town itself and along Vela plaža noise is common until 01–02 h. Zvonimirova and the coves are quieter.
  • Dress code — casual everywhere; lounge venues expect smart-casual in the evening hours.
  • Coming from the beach — wet clothes and sand are not a problem for beach bars, but for lounge/wine venues we recommend changing first.

Our recommendation for a perfect evening

Start with an aperitif on the Riva (Mala Riva) → dinner at one of the restaurants in the centre → sunset drink at Porto Club or Luna → wine tasting at Vinoteka Bodulier or Wine Shop Nada → craft beer and late pizza at Bistro Forza.
