MID-MAY
Crna ovca (Black Sheep)
A festival of lamb, music, sport and island heritage, held in Baška since 2006. Three days of free concerts, workshops and young Baška lamb prepared in dozens of ways.
24 JUNE
Ivanja — Baška Municipality Day
The feast of St John the Baptist, patron of the municipality. A traditional mass in St John's church, a ceremonial council session, and in the evening an open-air party on the Old Waterfront with a torchlight procession.
FIRST WEEKEND OF AUGUST
Fishermen's Day
Baška's longest-running event, held since 1910. A parade of fishing boats, concerts on the Old Waterfront, grilled fish and a programme for all generations.
EARLY OCTOBER
Baška Outdoor Festival
The island's best-attended off-season event. Trail running, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing and a zipline on more than 120 km of marked trails.
