How to choose a restaurant in Baška

Where to eat the best fresh fish?

Restaurant Kalun, Bistro Forza and Malin (Bistro Malin) — all have a daily menu depending on the catch. If you like to cook yourself, there is a fish shop in the centre of Baška, open in the morning until roughly 11:30. Nicest of all is buying fish straight off the boat, early in the morning when the fishermen return to the harbour — a small ritual worth experiencing at least once.

Postoji li vegetarijanska/veganska ponuda?

Most Baška restaurants have 2-4 vegetarian options (risotto, gnocchi, salads, pizza). For a wider choice we recommend Bistro Forza and Restaurant Kalun. For vegan options, call ahead to check.

Trebam li rezervaciju?

For July and August — YES, especially for 7-9 p.m. dinners at beachfront restaurants. Beach bars and pizzerias usually don't take reservations.

Do they accept cards?

Yes. For smaller bars and shops we recommend cash (EUR).
