In summer, parking in Baška is a limited resource — the center and coastal streets are covered by zone-based payment, with prices depending on the season. Payment in Baška is valid from April 1 to October 15, 2026, with the highest fees during peak season (July–August), when crowds are also the largest.

The system operates by zones (Zone 0, 1, 2, 3), with prices ranging from €1.00 to €2.00 per hour — payment is possible via machine, SMS, or mobile applications.

Parking Zones

Zone 0 — Red

Valid only during peak season, in the most sought-after locations near the center and beaches.

Payment period: July 1–August 31 · Price: €2.00/h · Daily maximum price: €30.00/day · SMS number: 707026

Zone 1 — Green

Same locations as Zone 0, but outside peak season — a cheaper alternative in June and September.

Payment period: April 1–June 30 and September 1–October 15 · Price: €1.50/h · Daily maximum price: €20.00/day · SMS number: 708876

Zone 2 — Yellow

Parking lot along the bypass — suitable for transit traffic or avoiding the center, charged throughout the season.

Payment period: entire period (April 1–October 15) · Price: €1.30/h · Daily maximum price: €17.00/day · SMS number: 707027

Zone 3

According to the legal regulations from 2019/2021, this zone corresponds to the Suha marina location — on the 2026 page, the zone is not explicitly named by color, but the prices are the lowest on the list.

Payment period: entire period (April 1–October 15) · Price: €1.00/h · Daily maximum price: €12.00/day · SMS number: 707028

There are also two special parking lots with significantly higher tariffs: Gruh (Ulica kralja Tomislava) — €20/h during Zone 1 period, €25/h during Zone 0 period, €100/day; and Suha marina (Ulica Put Zablaća) — €10/h, €50/day. These prices appear significantly higher than standard zone tariffs and likely refer to a special/reserved parking category (e.g., buses or campers) rather than personal vehicles — it is recommended to check directly with TD Baška before arrival.

How to Pay

According to visitbaska.hr (2026 season), parking in Baška can be paid in several ways:

  • Parking machine — cash and credit cards, at the parking lots themselves.
  • SMS parking — send a message to the number corresponding to the zone where you are parking (Zone 0: 707026, Zone 1: 708876, Zone 2: 707027, Zone 3: 707028). The exact SMS message format was not available in the research — check the instructions on the parking machine itself or the sign in the zone.
  • Mobile applications — Bmove, Keks, Aircash, and m-Zaba.

Vehicle owners residing in restricted traffic zones, residents of the Municipality of Baška, and residents of Batomalj, Draga Bašćanska, and Jurandvor who work in Baška are entitled to exemption or reduced fees for parking in parts of the Gruh and Aquagun parking lots — upon presentation of an ID card, vehicle registration, or employer’s certificate. Details are stipulated in the document “General Terms of Public Parking Service” (Official Gazette of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County No. 08/21, with amendments from 2024).

Free parking

No special zone with permanently free parking for tourists outside the payment period (April 1–October 15) was confirmed in the available sources. Outside this period (winter months), payment ceases in all zones. Prices change seasonally — check visitbaska.hr.

Tips

  • Arrive early in the morning (before 9 AM) in summer — parking spaces near Vela plaža and the center fill up quickly during peak season.
  • For a short trip to the beach, consider the Zarok or Aquagun parking lot, right next to Vela plaža.
  • The Gruh parking lot is near the bus station — useful if you arrive by bus or plan to combine parking with an excursion.
  • Bring coins or a card for the machine, or install one of the applications (Bmove, Keks, Aircash, m-Zaba) before arrival so you don’t waste time searching for a signal or installing on the spot.
  • Prices for buses and campers/RVs were not publicly available in this research — if you are traveling by camper, contact TD Baška in advance (tel. 051/856-133, email [email protected]).
  • Check if your vehicle is in Zone 0 (July–August) or Zone 1 (June, September) — the price and daily maximum differ significantly.
  • Residents and property owners in restricted traffic zones may be eligible for concessions — check the conditions directly with TD Baška before arrival.
