Over a hundred kilometers of marked trails start right from the town. From easy seaside strolls to the climb up Obzova, Krk's highest peak.

The Bašćanska ploča, one of the oldest monuments of the Croatian language, was written here. Alongside it are churches above the bay, the Glagolitic trail, and an aquarium.
